VICTORIA KAMMERATH - Managing Attorney

Hi, I’m Victoria Kammerath. I earned my law degree (Juris Doctor equivalent) from Universidad Católica de Córdoba in my home country of Argentina. I pursued a Master's degree in Management and Analytics (Universidad Torcuato Di Tella) and later graduated from Cornell Law School 's LL.M in Law, Technology and Entrepreneurship (Cornell Tech). In Argentina, I’ve worked as In-House Counsel at HSBC Bank and certain public 

agencies, including being Chief of Legal Staff of the Attorney General of Buenos Aires State. In the U.S, I’ve worked for Eisenberg & Baum’s Artificial Intelligence Fairness and Data Privacy Practice Group and later for Clifford Chance US LLP’s Asset Finance Group (Banking & Finance). I’m a tech enthusiast and have a diverse background in legal operations, corporate and technology law.

AGUSTIN IRAOLA - Foreign Legal Advisor & Head of Growth

Hi, I’m Agustin Iraola. I earned my law degree (Juris Doctor equivalent) from Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA) in my home country, Argentina. I also earned a postgraduate degree in Administrative Economic Law from the same University and later graduated from Cornell Law School’s Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Law, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (Cornell Tech). In Argentina, I have experience in both the public and private sectors, initially focusing on government regulation and policy analysis and working 

for several years in the Federal Judiciary. I continued to broaden my academic scope by attending several programs related to Fintech, Venture Capital, and Blockchain, and joined a tech start-up in the asset tokenization space, being involved in several legal and non-legal matters, including management, business development, marketing, company formation, international structuring, Intellectual Property, tech transactions, and fundraising.

BENJAMIN SMALBERGER - Foreign Legal Advisor

Hello, I'm Ben Smalberger. I hold a Master of Laws degree from Cornell Tech in New York, and a law degree from the University of Otago. My legal career began at Chapman Tripp, a commercial law firm in Wellington, New Zealand, where I specialized in property and major projects, managing complex commercial developments and construction issues.

Now based in New York, I've broadened my expertise. Before passing the New York State Bar exam, I worked at a startup focused on legal matters related to artificial intelligence. Since joining ALVK LAW, I have been engaged in a diverse range of legal areas, including tech transactions, securities law, and general corporate practice.

VALERIA MONTURIOL - Attorney

Hi, I’m Valeria Monturiol. I earned my law degree (Juris Doctor equivalent) with cum laude honors from Universidad Escuela Libre de Derecho in Costa Rica. I then pursued a Master’s degree in Notary and Registry Law, also with cum laude distinction, at the same university before completing an LL.M. in Law, Tech, and Entrepreneurship at Cornell Tech, Cornell Law School. In Costa Rica, I worked at Ernst & Young (EY Law) as a Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) lawyer with particular focus in cross-border transactions.

I advised large-scale corporate clients on establishing and structuring corporate entities in Latin America. In the U.S., while pursuing my LL.M. at Cornell Law School, I served as a Legal Advisor for the Permanent Representative of Costa Rica at the United Nations. Currently, I am a transactions lawyer with a focus on technology, particularly interested in the art industry, working with clients in the art space such as artists, galleries, and private collectors.
